Cookie policy
This page explains how this site uses cookies and similar technologies, and how you can control them.
What is a cookie?
A cookie is a small text file stored on your computer, tablet or phone when you visit a website. It lets the site, or a third-party service, recognize your device and remember certain information, such as your preferences or browsing.
Cookies on this site
This site sets no advertising cookies and uses no audience measurement tools. It does not build profiles of its visitors. However, some external services the site needs in order to work may receive technical data:
- Hosting. The site is hosted on GitHub Pages. Like any host, GitHub may log technical connection data, such as your IP address, in particular for security purposes.
- Fonts. The site’s fonts are loaded from Google Fonts. When they load, your browser sends your IP address to Google’s servers.
- Video. The A comme Animal video is hosted on YouTube and uses its privacy-enhanced mode. The player only loads if you click to start the video. From that point on, YouTube may set cookies or store data on your device, according to its own policy.
These services apply their own privacy policies, which you can read on their respective websites.
How to control cookies
You can accept, block or delete cookies at any time in your browser settings (Chrome, Safari, Firefox, Edge, etc.). Blocking cookies does not prevent you from browsing this site; only video playback might be affected.
The banner shown at the bottom of the screen on your first visit lets you accept or refuse the embedded video. If you refuse, the video opens directly on YouTube in a new tab. Your choice is stored only in your browser; to change it, clear this site’s data in your browser settings.
Your personal information
Messages sent through the contact form go through the Formspree service, which forwards them to us by email.
Information sent through the contact form is used only to reply to your message. It is never sold or shared for commercial purposes. In accordance with applicable privacy laws, including in Quebec, you may ask to access, correct or delete your personal information by writing to us through the Contact page.
Changes
This policy may be updated, for example if new services are added to the site. The date of the last update appears at the top of this page.
